
Streams ĭeer Creek and Bull Creek have their headwaters in the southeastern section of the township, whence they flow south to the Allegheny River in Allegheny County. The unincorporated communities of Cooperstown and Glade Mills are near the center of the township along Pennsylvania Route 8, which crosses the township from north to south.Īccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 23.2 square miles (60.1 km 2), of which 23.1 square miles (59.9 km 2) is land and 0.077 square miles (0.2 km 2), or 0.31%, is water.
